SAMBA: Police on Wednesday arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 18,400 intoxicating capsules from their possession.
According to reports, a police party led by SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana, Inspector Yash Paul Singh laid a Naka at Balole Bridge, Bari Brhmana and intercepted one car bearing registration number JK05E-2477which was on its way from Punjab to Jammu. During checking, police recovered about 18,400 intoxicating capsules (Spasmo Proxyvon Plus) from their possession. The accused persons were arrested on spot besides seizing the vehicle. The arrested persons have been identified as Ishfaq Ahmed Ganai, son of Mohammad Ashraf Ganai, resident of Dangerpura Sopore, Bramulla; Shehbaz Mohi-ul-Din, son of Gulam Mohi Din, resident of Rashidabad Baramulla and Mudassir Ahmed Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmed Bhat, resident of Rashidabad Baramulla. A case under FIR No 02/2017 Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered against the accused persons at Police Station Bari Brahmana and the investigation has been taken up. The arrest was made under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, Kulbir Handa.
