RAJOURI: A investigation officer along with two sentries were suspended after a drug peddler escaped from police custody just after 12 hours of arrest.
As per sources, Manzoor Hussain, son of Noor Hussain, resident of Dhanore Jaralan, was arrested by anti-drug squad along with some Charas and intoxicating capsules on late Sunday night. Hussain managed to escape from Police Station Rajouri and is at large till the last report came in. A case under Section 273 RPC was registered against him. Taking the lapses in security the authorities suspended the investigation officer and two sentries and attached them to DPL.
