Three bootleggers nabbed with 38 bottles of illicit liquor

RAMBAN: Police on Monday arrested three bootleggers and recovered 98 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.
As per details, on directions of SSP Ramban Haseeb Ur Rahman and Addl SP Ramban Rajni Sharma, Gool Police, acting on specific information, apprehended a person namely Sanjeet Singh, son of Amar Singh Rajput, resident of Dharam, Tehsil Gool, District Ramban. The accused, driver of Matador (JK19-4159), was found selling liquor illegally at Tatapani road. 11 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from his matador.
A case vide FIR no 84/ 2020, under section 48F of Excise Act was registered at Police Station Gool and further investigation has been initiated. A Police party from Police Post Sangaldaan made the arrest under supervision of SHO Gool Insp Muneer Ahmed under overall supervision of SDPO Gool Pardeep Kumar. Ramban Police also arrested two bootleggers namely Rattan Chand, resident of Ramgarh and Chattar Singh, resident of Majara. 27 bottles of illicit liquor was recovered from their possession.
