RAMBAN: Ramban police on Thursday apprehended an absconder namely Mohd Afzal, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Mugji, Gool who was involved in case FIR No. 24/2005 under Section 307, 121-A RPC, 7/27 Arms Act in Police Station, Gool.
Afzal, who was evading his arrest since long, was arrested by Police Party headed by Inspector Sunil Arya SHO Police Station Gool under the supervision of Vipan Chandren Dy SP Gool and Randeep Kumar, SSP Ramban. Later absconder was produced in the court of law.
In another case a police party from Police Station Ramban arrested a person namely Abdul Rashid, son of Saifudin, resident of Seri Bhagna, who was found roaming suspiciously at Seri Ramban. During search of the accused, a plastic bag containing 850 grams of Charas recovered from his possession.
Accordingly his arrest was made by police party headed by Inspector Ajay Singh Chib, SHO PS Ramban under the supervision of Randeep Kumar, SSP Ramban and an FIR No. 54/2015 under Section 8/20 NDPS act has been registered against him at PS Ramban.
Meanwhile, As a part of drive against the absconders, the Rajouri Police have arrested one absconder who was evading arrest for the last five years.
SHO Manjakote Sadaqat Hussain alongwith his team arrested one Mohd Alyas son of Mohd Iqbal resident of Ghulati Manjakote wanted in FIR 88/2010 under section 452/336/323 RPC who was absconding for the last five years.
