LEH: Thousands of people from all walks of life, all faiths, and all parts of the region assembled on Leh Pologround to show solidarity with His Holiness The Dalai Lama while Ladakh remained complete shut for the whole day on Monday on the call given by Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) and Ladakh Gonpa Association (LGA) with support from all other religious communities.
A peaceful protest rally was taken out from NDS ground by thousands of people. It passes through P. President LBA Thupstan Chhewang warned that LBA will intensify protest if no action is taken against those defaming HH Dalai Lama before G20 summit. He also appealed to the public to unsubscribe to some TV channels that had been spreading manipulated video against the Dalai Lama. Leaders also announced that celebrities who too defamed The Dalai Lama will not be allowed to shoot in Ladakh.
