Offers prayers at Bawe Wali Mata temple

Kathua: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that those who seek to cause harm to society and the country must be dealt with.
Bhagwat at a gathering of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) members here in Jammu and Kashmir also underlined the importance of being non-violent, compassionate, resilient and robust.
Those, who are out to do harm or break society and the nation, whichever method is needed to deal with them, will have to be taken, the RSS chief said while stressing on non-violence.
He said that like money is donated to help the poor, power should be used to safeguard the weak.
“Money is donated to help the poor and power is used to protect the weak. This should be instilled in every individual, both from a social and national perspective,” Bhagwat said.
“These are values embedded in our religion. There’s no disparity,” he said.
Bhagwat, however, said that where the weak need to be protected from the cruel, one must be prepared to wield strength when necessary. “In the world, the weak have to be protected from the cruel, then weapon is to be taken in the hands” he said.
In this regard, it is essential to contemplate the safety and security of all within the nation, he said.
Dr Bhagwat said that the basic values and rituals of Sanatan Dharma have been prevalent since ancient times. Sanatan is the culture of India. The universe rests on the first line of the Prithvi Sukta in which balanced behaviour and collective order is the method of Sanskar, he added.
“We are only trustees on this earth. Property belongs only to God. We only have values with which we can make everyone prosperous. It is needed today. The rise of Sanatan Dharma is the rise of India. Religion connects everyone, religion creates balance, all Indian traditions are based on religion”, he said, adding that we have to become worthy for the country, the world respects the one who has power.
The RSS chief also paid floral tributes to Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookherjee at Kathua chowk and offered prayers at a temple.
He visited Jakhbud in the outskirts of the town and unveiled a statue of Bharat Mata. While interacting with the villagers, he urged them to create a village full of village development, ideals and values.
On this occasion, Regional Sanghchalak Sita Ram, State Sanghchalak Dr. Gautam Maingi and Kathua department Sanghchalak Vidya Ratan were also present. A large number of women were also present in the gathering to listen to the address of Sarsanghchalak. Physical display, exercise and slogan display were also done by the volunteers in the gathering.
After this, Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat ji also went to pay obeisance at the Radha Krishna temple located in Ward 6 of the city.
Earlier, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief offered prayers at the Bawe Wali temple here on the first day of Navratri.
The RSS chief arrived at the temple dedicated to goddess Kali in the Bahu Fort area in the morning amid tight security and paid obeisance at the shrine. He congratulated the people of Jammu on the occasion of Navratri.
