HIRANAGAR: Gurha Mundian Volleyball Club won the opening match of the Third Open Volleyball Tournament being organised by Khajuria Volleyball Club Bannair at Primary School Bannair Ground, here on Saturday.
In the inaugural match, Gurha Mundian outplayed Volleyball Club Banner by straight 2-0 sets.
The tournament is being held under the auspices of Volleyball Association of J and K.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Sohan Lal, Sub Divisional Megistrate (SDM) Hiranagar in the presence of other officials.
A total of 16 teams are participating in this tournament.
Prominent persons among those present were M.L Toofan President District Volleyball Association Kathua, Mohiñder Sharma General Secretary, Ram Lal, Kamal Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Chhajju Ram Retired BDO and Ram Chand ex- member Panchayat.
