KISHTWAR: Police arrested a thief read-handed who was trying to strike in the temple at Mugal-Maidaan of District Kishtwar on Thursday. According to reports, a police team led by SHO Chatroo Anatullah Sheikh under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir arrested a person when he was committing theft in two temples of Chanseri and Rahal areas of Tehsil Mugalmaidan in District Kishtwar.
As per sources, the person was roaming outiside the temple,after seeing him some locals chased him and informed police. during checking many bells and others belonging of temple were recovered from him.
People demanded strict punishment to him, so that it will become lesson for others in future as people of the area alleged that earlier such attempts were also made by some miscreants. When contacted SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir said that an FIR has been logded in Police Station Chatroo and investigation of the case is going on. “The accused has been identified as Ranjeet Kumar resident of Keshwan ,Thakrie”, SSP informed.
