ARNAS: Police on Tuesday arrested a thief and recovered stolen golden ornaments on his disclosure.
According to a report, on 9th March 2016, a complainant namely Balak Ram son of Beli Ram resident of Dharmari Tehsil Arnas reported to Police Station Arnas with a complaint of cheating/theft of his gold ornaments against Baldev Singh son of Sarwan Singh resident of Sawlakote Tehsil Arnas. He further stated in his complaint that the incident took place on 26th Feb 2016 and they tried to trace the accused on their own but could not succeeded.
On this a case vide FIR No.17/2016 under section 420/380/RPC was registered at Police Station Arnas and investigation entrusted to SI Mohd Sharief of Police Station Arnas.
During the course of investigation and making hectic and fruitful efforts, police team led by SI Mohd Sharief under the supervision of Inspector Arvind Sambyal, SHO Police Station Arnas, Zaffar Iqbal Nawaz, SDPO Arnas, Sanjay Singh Rana, Addl.SP Reasi and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi, succeeded in apprehending the accused namely Baldev Singh son of Sarwan Singh resident of Sawlakote Tehsil Arnas and on his disclosure the recoveries of golden ornaments were made which include three nose rings (Nath), three diamond hinges (Maang Tikkas), one necklace, one ring, one pair of ear rings (Wallian) and one pair of other type of ear rings (Jhumkey).
