Thief arrested; gold ornaments, cash recovered

Police personnel along with arrested thief and recovered gold ornaments at Jammu on Saturday.

JAMMU: Police on Saturday solved a burglary case by arresting the thief and recovered stolen gold ornaments and cash on his disclosure.
According to a report, on 20th April 206, one Rafiq son of Lal Din resident of Jawahar Nagar, Jammu lodged a written complaint in Police Station Satwari that on 19th April 2016 an amount of Rs. 70,000 along with golden ornaments were stolen from his house.
On his complaint, case vide FIR No. 64 under section 380 RPC was registered in Police Station Satwari and the investigation was started by a special team headed by SHO Police Station Satwari. The team rounded up several suspects of the area and also analysed the call details of the suspects. During the investigation one Rohit son of Bittu resident of Shanti Nagar, Kunjwani Jammu was also rounded up and put sustained interrogation. During interrogation accused confessed his involvement into the crime and cash worth Rs 70,000 and gold ornaments worth Rupees one lakh viz. one Tikka and nose ring (Nath), two chains, and a mobile phone was recovered on his disclosure.
The arrest was made by ASI Mohammed Akram and Inspr. Manjeet Singh SHO Police Station Satwari.
