Up till now the Pak-based notorious ISI was exporting terror to Kashmir direct but with the arrest of a Mynamarese Rohingaya Muslim by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Dhaka in the last week in connection with the Burdwan blasts in west Bengal has revealed the building up of a new network of sleeping modules in the country which is matter of great concern as far as security is concerned. With borders in north and west side of the country stepping up vigil and security, the opening up of east route for pushing in militants and their sympathisers to keep the so-called Jihad alive is something worrisome. The arrested man had visited Jammu, Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi as part of scouting. Pak-based militant organisations have been issuing threat against India time to time but the revelations about setting up of sleeping cell by Tehrik-e-Taliban (TTP) is the first instance of its nature. Though arrested Mynamarese belongs to Rohingaya Solidarity Organisation, a militant outfit fighting for the rights of Rohingaya Muslims, he is weaned out to work for Tehrik-e-Taliban to spread terror in India. In the 1970s, their uprisings appeared again during the period of the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. The arrested man is claimed to have come to India with his family as refugee and applied for United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) card and has been living in eastern part of the country. Of late Jammu had seen a small influx of Mynamarese who wanted to cross over to Pakistan from here and many of them had been arrested while attempting to do so by the police and security forces. What is cautioning is such movements can be part of a larger design of militancy. On the surface though it looks migrant labour in nature but may differ in reality.
