Temporary teachers seek regularisation

JAMMU: Temporary teachers on Friday held a protest under the banner of J and K Temporary Teacher Association 2014 Jammu led by its president Balwinder Singh Pawar to press the government and higher authority of the department to settle their demand of continuation of their services.
A large number of temporary teachers from all the districts of Jammu region were gathered in at Exhibition Ground near Press Club here and raised the slogans in support of their demand.
They blamed the PDP-BJP Coalition Government for spoiling the future of well educated near about 6000 youth which is totally against the agenda of both BJP and PDP at election time.
While interacting with media persons, Balwinder said they were cheated by both previous and present government as both gave them verbal assurance for giving justice but till date no progress is seen.
He requested to Chief Minister to fulfill the genuine demand of continuation of services as early as possible.
Kashmir Division Presi-dent, Abdul Majid said that if their demand is not fulfilled their agitation will intensify in Kashmir valley too/ Bhopinder Choudhary, Swarndeep Singh, Makhan Singh, Vicky Saini, Sudesh Kumar, Susheel Kumar, Kishore Kumar, Asha, Anu, Sonia, Rajni, Kiran, Jyoti and Pooja were also present.
