Temple Committee appeals to JMC for upgrading drain

JAMMU: Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee (SRMWC) on Sunday reiterated its demand to upgrade the drain situated outside Shri Ranbireshwar Temple, Shalamar Road here.
The Temple Committee made an appeal to Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Kiran Wattal for raising the height of drain located from Geeta Bhawan to City Chowk.
While talking to media persons, Spokesperson and Legal Advisor of Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee Jyoti Sarup Mishra said that almost every time especially in the rainy season this drain remains choked and devotees face many problems while visiting the temple.
He said that this is a long pending demand of the devotees and SRMWC once again appeals to JMC for raising the height of the drain.
He also appealed to JMC Commissioner to take concrete steps for cleaning the area adjoining the temple.
Rajkumar Gupta (Secretary), Amit Gupta (Secretary) Mandeep Sharma, Deepak Sharma (Press and Publicity Incharge), Mohan Sharma, Rekha Sharma (President Women Wing), Dr. Sunny Gupta, Dolly Abrol (General Secretary Women Wing) and Surinder Kumar Bhagat were also present during the press briefing.
