The state government has tied up with Apollo Hospital in Delhi for providing the facility with its specialist doctors guiding the local doctors in tribal areas of Keylong and Kaza and giving the prescription.
The patients would get the treatment near their home and they would not be required to be shifted to IGMC, Shimla or other hospitals.
Further, the problem of the specialists, unwilling to serve in hard tribal areas would also be solved, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Vineet Chaudhary said.
The state government had already sanctioned Rs four crore for providing necessary equipments and other aids to make the system functional, he added.
The specialist services would be provided by Apollo Hospital doctors on “no profit, no loss” basis.
