Tech Fest ‘NIRVIKALPA 2015’ begins at YCET

JAMMU: A two-day Tech Fest “NIRVIKALPA-2K15” commenced at Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), a prestigious technical institution of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI), amid fervoor and exuberance, here on Friday.

The tech fest aimed to explore and develop talents and skills among budding engineers.

Controller of Examinations, University of Jammu, Prof. Keshav Sharma was the Chief Guest of the function.

Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, JGEI, Th. Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI, and Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI welcomed the Chief Guest  and the dignitaries. Dr. Seema Narain, Director, YCET, presented the welcome address.

The Chief Guest exhorted upon the budding engineers to channelise their youthful energies and time in the right direction and make the most of the opportunities which come their way to enhance learning and achieve excellence.

He asserted that right attitude and a never say die approach pave the way for professional growth. He hailed the efforts of the faculty for their unflinching commitment to groom the students through such events. He wished the Tech Fest ‘NIRVIKALPA 2K15’ a resounding success.

The students from 11 technical institutions from J and K and outside were rubbed shoulders with strong contenders in different events.

The technical events were dotted with innovations and sublime creative impact.

On the first day, the gala function witnessed eleven events out of around thirty events spreading across two days. The event witnessed a huge gathering of exuberant participants, distinguished guests, scholars, leading lights from the industries, sponsors and media partners.

The Tech Fest events were divided into three categories ie, Abhivyakti, Kotuhaal and Ekagra and each category having a string of events. Presently YCET is ahead of other teams in different competitions.

Dr. Seema Narain, Director YCET, thanked the organizing committee members, coordinators, sponsors, media partners and acknowledged their earnest and invaluable contribution.

The vote of thanks was presented by Rhea Mahajan, COD, Computer Engineering.

For the tech fest, the platinum sponsors are Peaks Auto and Vodafone. The media partners included JK Channel, U4U Voice and Take 1. Other sponsors include IIFT, Color Lounge, Grill Inn, Bhasin Business Unit, The Stream, RS Video and Photography, Jandyal Opticians and Baba Travels.
