Team Sunderbani seeks filling of lecturers posts

SUNDERBANI: Taking serious note of shortage of Plus 2 lecturers in the Government Higher Secondary Schools in Sunderbani, the Team Sunderbani urged the Education Department to safeguard the future of the rural students.
Arun Kumar Sharma, Coordinator Team Sunderbani pointed out that the government has failed to provide quality education to the students of district Rajouri, as most of the higher secondary schools of the area are facing crunch of teaching staff.
“As many as 170 posts of the plus 2 lecturers are lying vacant in the government higher secondary schools in district Rajouri but instead of making a permanent arrangement by recruiting permanent staff government has engaged contractual lecturers who are being paid meager salary of Rs 7,000 per month.
But when it comes to their posting in far off areas of the district most of these lecturers skip postings due to very low salary. He revealed that the system is taking toll on the studies of the talented rural youth.
Arun Kumar Sharma appealed to the State Government to fill all the vacant posts of Plus 2 lecturers in Sunderbani area at the earliest.
