JAMMU: In the North Indian Tenshikan Karate-Do-Competition held on January 7 and 8, 2023 at Indoor Sports Complex Stadium, Bhagwati Nagar Jammu, JK Public School Kunjwani won 33 medal including eight gold, seven silver and 18 bronze.
A total of 15 states across the country participated in this competition.
The winners U-9 (Boys): Ganesh Singh (silver), Yuvraj Singh (bronze) and Dhairya Sheel Singh (bronze). U-9 (Girls): Krisha Kapahi (silver), Aagamya (bronze), Vritika Sharma (bronze) & Vedanshi Mahajan (bronze). U-12 (Boys): Ahmed Ibtisam Hijazi (silver), Sukhvinder Singh (bronze), Sehaj Marwah (bronze), Manan Singh (bronze), Akshat Kumar (bronze) & Adwait Swraj (bronze). U-12 (Girls): Arushi (gold), Ujwal Saini (silver), Omya Sharma (silver), Anahit Sharma (gold), Amayara Gupta (bronze), Neharika (bronze) & Bhavya Vikas (bronze). U-14 (Girls): Tania Bhagat (gold). U-14 (Boys): Piyush Swroop (gold), Ayush Khajuria (gold) and Shreyas K Sanjeev (silver). U-16 (Boys): Harshjot Singh Saini (gold), Rajan Singh Saini (gold), Krish Singh Jamwal (gold), Vedhant Khajuria (gold), Arvind Singh (silver), Shivam Kapoor (bronze), Momin Gafoor (bronze) and Pratham Sharma (bronze). U-16 (Girls): Zohra Chouhan (silver).
On the other hand, Rajan Singh Saini, Pratham Sharma and Shivam Kapoor of JKPS Kunjwani has been awarded Black Belt by the Tenshikan ShotoKan-Ryu Karate Federation of India.
Shashi Chaudhary, Director JK Public School and Principal Rajesh Rathore felicitated the winners in the school assembly.
The school Karate Coach Gopal Das along with Subash Chander, HOD (Sports) were also applauded for this brilliant achievement.
