KATHUA: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum district unit Kathua held a meeting on Sunday in which masters/teachers working under SSA expressed their great resentment for not releasing the salary grants.
The participants said that the total requirement of Kathua is more than 30 crore and only 2.56 crore has been allotted and as a result the salaries of masters / teachers of the zone could not be drawn for the last eight months.
Teachers lamented that their second and third installments under Sixth Pay Commission have not been adjusted into the GPF and no salary grant has been allotted to 43 EVs, which are now regularised as RET teachers of Zone Malhar by CEO Kathua.
Speaking on the occasion, Amar Nath Thakur appealed to all the teachers / Masters working under SSA, RMSA and NPS schemes to participate in the protest on 18th October 2014 against the department for not releasing the salary under different components.
Those who participated in the meeting included Surjit Singh, Subash Sharma, Balbir Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Om Parkash, Parveen Singh, Kuldeep Singh and Mohammad Sadiq.
