POONCH: A delegation of Poonch Unit of All Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) led by Darshan Kumar, District President and Fayaz Arzoo, District Vice President on Thursday called on Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh at Poonch and apprised him about various issues concerning the teachers community especially the non release of salary of teachers and masters under New Pension Scheme (NPS) and masters under SSA and submitted suggestions for the improvement in the education system. The Deputy CM was apprised that hundreds of teachers and masters of Poonch under New Pension Scheme (NPS) and SSA have not received their salary for the past over six months which is causing a great inconvenience to run their families. They demanded immediate release of the pending salary to the teachers and masters.
The Deputy CM after giving patient hearing to the members of the federation assured to take the issue with Director School Education, Jammu. He also assured for early redressel of their demands.
