TBS, JU organises induction session for 31st MBA batch

JAMMU: The Business School (TBS), University of Jammu (JU) started off the new session of MBA 1st semester by organising an induction session for the fresh batch.
The Business School invited guests from the industry for a healthy interaction and to put into perspective the direction that students should follow for future success.
Rakesh Shalla, COO Vodafone was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Vickul Mahajan, AVP HDFC Bank was the Guest of Honour who represented the industry and spoke to the students about the needs and expectations of the industry from the young future managers.
Shalla inspired the students to understand their journey ahead by focusing on their aspirations, taking risks and by remaining focused on their long term goals.
Through his interactive session, he engaged the students and solicited questions from them. While answering their queries Shalla emphasised that the students need to work on their communication and skill sets for becoming more acceptable in the dynamic business environment. Vickul Mahajan who is also an aluminous of The Business School urged the students to make the most of their time at the management department and always remain receptive to the changes around them to be able to take corrective measures.
Prof. Jigar Mohammad, Dean Research Studies presided over the function and reiterated that the students are the pillars on which the success of any institution rests. He further added that everybody has potential; however one needs to be able to identify and make full use of opportunities that confront us.
Earlier Prof. B. C. Sharma, Director TBS, urged the students to work hard for bright future prospects.
The faculty members also spoke to the students and encouraged them to work hard during their stay at the school.
The induction session was also attended by Sonia Kapoor, Vodafone employee and an aluminous of TBS, and students of MBA 3rd Semester. Saloni Devi conducted the proceedings of the programme.
