POONCH: At least two persons died while eight others were injured in an early morning road accident on Jammu-Poonch Highway in Poonch District.
A senior police officer said that a Tavera (JK21-8979) while negotiating a sharp curve met with the accident at village Kalar near Jarawali Gali and fell into a deep gorge early morning around 4:00 AM today.
All the injured were shifted to nearby Sub District Hospital Surankote where doctors declared two of them including the driver as brought dead while others are under treatment.
The deceased were identified as Tanveer Ahmed (driver) son of Sher Mohammad resident of Sabjian and Mohd Sufi, whereas injured have been identified as Jaffer Ahmed, Mehmood Ahmed, Jaffer Iqbal, Mohd Irfan, Zakir Hussain, Mohd Sadeeq, Abdul Kareem and Mohd Ibrahim.
