Tapyal residents protest against Jal Shakti Department

SAMBA: Anger of the villagers of Ward No. 2 of Lower Tapyal village near Sub Division Ghagwal flared up on Friday when the people of the village had to suffer heavy losses due to non-solving of the water problem of the people. Villagers protested against the Jal Shakti Department, shouted slogans and locked the pumping station. They also warned to block the National Highway.
The protest was sparked as on April 29, Executive Engineer Samba, Jal Shakti Department assured people of Tapyal that the problem of water supply will be resolved but nothing was done in this regard.
People locked the pumping station and protested strongly against the Jal Shakti Department demanding water supply to the people. Panch Anju Bala, Rajni Devi, Champa Devi, Poli Devi, Sarita Devi, Madhu, lead the protesting women. Kailasho Devi, Anita Devi, Seema Devi, Rajni Singh, Champa Devi, Meenu Devi, Ganesh Das, Jaswant Singh, Jitendra Singh, Ompal, Deepak Sharma, Satpal, Shamsher Singh, Narsingh, Anil Verma, Vishnu Lalotra Vijay Singh, Karan Singh etc. were also present on the occasion.
