JAMMU: Former Director Information and presently Advisor Civil Defence Jammu, S. Narinder Singh urged the people of the State to maintain peace, communal harmony and brotherhood, in view of the prevailing unrest in Kashmir Valley which had resulted in loss of lives and public property.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Singh emphasised that whatever, the cause of the turmoil may be, the need of the hour is to maintain the age old tradition of secularism and mutual understanding. The peace is the basic requirement for prosperity and development of the State, he added.
He urged upon the people to be cautious against the anti-national and disruptive forces, who are bent upon to disturb peace and tranquility of the people of the State.
