RAJOURI: Aimed towards providing a platform to the cricket players to showcase their talent besides competition between noted teams and to spread the message of communal harmony and peace, Boom Boom Cricket Club of Rajouri in collaboration with Press Club Rajouri is going to hold Inter-state T20 Cricket Tournament from April 15.
Name of this tournament has been finalised as Hindu Muslim Sikh Isai Tournament with slogan of ‘communal harmony and religious brotherhood’.
This was announced by chairperson of Boom Boom Cricket Club and Press Club Rajouri Chairperson during a joint press conference held in Press Club Rajouri on Sunday.
They informed that the said cricket tournament will start from April 15 onwards in which not only teams from Rajouri and Poonch Districts but from Punjab, Delhi besides teams from districts of Jammu province and Kashmir Valley will take part.
Those who addressed the press conference include Shafqat Mir, Sajad Bhat, Bilal Khan, Sohail Dar and Danish Zari.
Press Club Rajouri chairperson including President Avinash Jasyal, Vice President Arif Qureshi, General Secretaries Gagan Kohli and Shakti Sharma, Legal Advisor Tazeem Dar, Secretary Tazeem Malik, Organiser Quyoom Lone, Sahil Ahanger and other members were present.
