POUNI: Zonal Education Officer Pouni organised a symposium on the theme ‘Save Your Environment’ in collaboration with Headmaster GHS Pouni in its school premises on Wednesday.
In all 19 students of the school participated in the event while Ayushi Sharma of 10th adjudged first, Deepshikha Sharma 10th and Shiwani Sharma shared second position while Jhanvi of 9th was declared third. Neelakshi of class 3rd got consolation prize for her performance in the event.
The programme was adjudged by Rekha Sharma, Jeet Prakash and Sushil Kumar Master. The participants were distributed prizes by Zonal Education Officer Pouni Gopal Krishan Sharma, Vaishno Devi Headmistress of the School and Jatinder Dev Headmaster M.S Lair who were present on the occasion as Chief Guest and Guests of Honour respectively.
Zonal Education Officer while speaking on the occasion lauded the contribution of the teachers and students in organising such events in the school campus which bring all round development in them and asked the students and participants to take part in co- curricular activities.
Jatinder Dev Sharma was the Resource Person on the occasion who threw light on various aspects of environment and appealed to the students and teachers to live in harmony with nature.
Sanjeev Kumar Sharma CRP conducted the proceedings of the programme who also recited poems on the theme. Among others who spoke on the occasion included Mohinder Dass, Ganeash Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Raj Kumar and Anil Kumar.
