Swarnkars take out protest rally on Day-14

JAMMU: The 14th day of ongoing protest by Jammu’s Swarnkar fraternity against one per cent hike in Excise Duty first witnessed a massive Dharna here at Jain Bazaar and then a colossal rally was taken out in the walled Jammu city.
After the Dharna, about 500-600 jewellers started a rally from Jain Bazaar and after passing through Chowk Chabutra, Pacca Danga, Raj Tilak Road, Purani Mandi, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi and Lakhdata Bazaar culminated again at Jain Bazaar.
Raman Suri Chairman, Sarafa Association and Swarnkar Sangh Joint Action Committee Jammu Province, Raj Kumar Babber (All India Vice President Swarnkar Sangh and President Swarnkar Sangh, Jammu Province), Parjan Kumar Jain (President Sarafa Association Jammu), Kulbhushan Anand (President Swarnkar Sangh Jammu District), Vijay Verma (General Secretary Sarafa Association Jammu), Ajay Vaid (General Secretary Swarnkar Sangh Jammu District), and Lucky Jain (Executive Member Sarafa Association Jammu) also spoke during rally and warned Union Minister Arun Jaitely of 17th March Rally at Ram Leela Maidan New Delhi.
Meanwhile in Srinagar, jewellers were sitting on hunger strike in Saraf Market Amira Kadal against increase in Excise Duty.
