JAMMU: Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Jammu & Kashmir Province culminated a series of programmes organised across various schools and colleges on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shraddheya Rishi Datopant Thengdi Ji, the visionary thinker and founder of Swadeshi Jagran Manch.
The programmes, conducted over the past weeks, centered on the theme “Role of Women in Entrepreneurship”, highlighting the pivotal role of women as drivers of economic self-reliance, innovation, and nation-building. Speakers emphasized that promoting women entrepreneurship is not only vital for economic empowerment but also strengthens families, society, and the nation.
The culmination event brought together IAS and KAS officers, academicians, students, social thinkers, entrepreneurs, and karyakartas of Swadeshi Jagran Manch.
Dignitaries presiding over the event included Akhil Bhartiya Sah-Sangathak Satish Kumar, Triprantiya Sangathak Vinay Kumar, Nirmala Sharma, Dr. Neha Sethi (Punjab Prant Sanyojika), Devyani Rana (MLA Nagrota), Arun Gupta (President, Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Vipan Kumar (J&K Prant Sanyojak), Anita Sharma (J&K Prant Mahila Pramukh), and Deepali Handa (J&K Prant Sah-Mahila Pramukh).
The programme paid tribute to the life, thoughts, and philosophy of Shraddheya Datopant Thengdi, particularly his vision of a value-based economic model rooted in Indian ethos.
The event featured two thought-provoking skits depicting his teachings, while a soulful rendition of the national song by Malti Sharma added to the atmosphere of reverence and inspiration.
The proceedings were seamlessly compered by Dr. Nidhi Pathania and Advocate Pooja Uppal Sharma, ensuring depth and coherence throughout.
Addressing the gathering, organizers reiterated Swadeshi Jagran Manch’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among women, promoting indigenous industries, and spreading awareness of Swadeshi values among youth, reaffirming the enduring relevance of Shraddheya Datopant Thengdi’s vision for India’s social and economic development.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge to continue working towards empowering women and promoting self-reliant, value-based economic growth.
