KATHUA: Aimed to encourage maximum participation in the Assembly Election in Kathua District which will go to polls on 20th December, District Election Office Kathua organised an awareness programme in the border village Londi in Tehsil Hiranagar of District Kathua.
Returning Officer 67-Hiranagar Assembly Constituency, SDM Hiranagar, Tehsildar Hiranagar, Sectoral Magistrates were present on the occasion.
About 1,500 people from Londi and adjoining villages Bobiya, Chakra attended the awareness programme. While addressing the gathering Returning Officer Hiranagar Constituency S.P Rukwal urged the people to cast their votes and also to spread the message among others as every vote matters in democracy.
A scintillating cultural programme was also presented during the awareness programme.
