SRINAGAR: Suspected militants Wednesday hurled a grenade towards the residence of a civilian in Batamaloo area of the city but there was no damage as it failed to explode.
“Unknown militants hurled a grenade towards residence of Zubair Ahmad Bhat alias Tahiri in Batamaloo area at around 4:15 PM. The grenade landed in the compound of the house but failed to explode,” a police official said. He said the explosive was removed by the police personnel.
A case has been registered and investigation into the incident is on, he added.
