Surjit- Yudhvir share top Bout in Kalakot Dangal

JAMMU: Wrestler Surjit Singh of J&K Police of Reasi and Yudhvir of Delhi shared 70th Dali (Kalakot) Dangal title after the contest between top wrestlers remained undecided in 27 minutes of close contest at village Dali (Kalakote) in District Rajouri.
Cash prize money of Rs. 20,000, jointly given to both the wrestlers, presented by contractor Thakur Randhir Singh, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Swarn Singh and ex-Sarpanch, Ranjeet Singh.
Dangal was organized by Dangal Committee Village Dali Tehsil Kalakot District Rajouri in support with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Swarn Singh (president), Ranjeet Singh, Sukhrib Singh (Pali) and Raspal Singh Mahla.
Contractor Thakur Randhir Singh was the chief guest while former Joint Secretary of J&K State Sports Council and president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma presided.
Naib Tehsildar Kalakote Mohan Lal, Naib Tehsildar Solki Manoj Kumar and Raspal Singh Mahla, retired Chief Librarian and Yuv Raj Singh, J&K BJP Yuva Morcha leader were the guests of honour.
The second main bout was won by Yuv Raj of Marzali, Akhnoor, who defeated Anil of Reasi. Winner Yuv Raj awarded with cash prize of Rs. 9,000 while runners-up, Anil got Rs. 7,000.
In third main bout, Subash of Reasi defeated Banu of Akhnoor to receive Rs. 6,000 cash prize runners-up, Banu presented Rs. 5,000. Another third bout, played between Jarnail Singh of Reasi and Abha of Akhnoor ended in a draw with result both the wrestlers shared Rs 10,000 cash prize.
In all, 76 bouts were played in this day-long dangal and the organizers.
Members of Dali Dangal Committee included Swarn Singh (president), Ranjeet Singh, Subhrib Singh (Pali), Ratten Singh Dogra, Sukhrib Singh (Teacher) and Dharam Paul.
The bouts were officiated by Kirpal Singh, Deep Kumar, Prabhat Singh Jagdev Singh and Ajit Kumar.
