District Shopian Volleyball Championship concludes

SHOPIAN: District Shopian Volleyball Championship 2023 organised by District Shopian Volleyball Association under the aegis of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir and sponsorship of JK Sports Council concluded at Degree College Shopian on Friday. The championship was organized under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav 2023 and My Youth My Pride initiatives of the government.
As per the officials, a total of 20 teams including 16 boys and four girls participated in the championship.
In the final match of boys category, Super Spikers Shopian beat Redline Volleyball Club by 2-0 sets with a set score of 27-18 and 25-21.
Earlier in the semifinals, Super Spikers Shopian beat Cambridge Volleyball Club by 2-0 (25-21, 25-20) and Redline Volleyball Club beat Woyen Volleyball Club by 2-0 (25-21, 25-22).
ACE Volleyball Club Shopian beat CNEI Volleyball Club by straight 2-0 (25-22 25-21) sets in girls category.
The final ceremony was started in the presence of the Chief Guests, Javeed Ahmad DySP Headquarters Shopian and Peer Gulzar Ahmad Shafi, SHO Shopian and Guest of Honour, Nelofer Habib, Secretary of District Kulgam Volleyball Association.
At the end of the championship, chief guests along with other guests distributed trophies among the winner and runner-up teams of the championship.
