2 DIGs, 9 SSPs, SPs transferred

JAMMU: The Home Department on Monday transferred two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and nine Jammu and Kashmir Police Service (JKPS) officers and relieved Dr. Sunil Gupta, IPS (2007), from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to take up his new assignment as per directions from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
“In pursuance to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India’s communication under reference, and the approval of Competent Authority, Dr. Sunil Gupta, IPS (2007), IGP Crime J&K is relieved from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, with effect from July 28, 2025 (A/N), to take up his new assignment.” read an order issued by Chandraker Bharti, Principal Secretary, Home Department, J&K UT.
Consequently, Sujit Kumar, IPS (2007), IGP Security J&K, shall hold the charge of IGP Crime J&K, in addition to his own duties, it added.
As per another order, Vinod Kumar, IPS (2011), DIG Armed Jammu, has been transferred and posted as DIG IRP Jammu; Sameer Sharma, IPS (2011), who was awaiting posting, has been posted as DIG Armed Jammu.

Kulbir Singh, JKPS (1999), SSP Ramban, has been transferred and posted as Director, Commando Training Centre, Lethpora; Randeep Kumar, JKPS (1999), SSP Security HQ, J&K, as SSP PTWS Jammu; Arun Gupta, JKPS (2001), SSP SB CID Jammu as SSP Ramban; Liaqat Ali, JKPS (2001), SO to Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF, J&K, as SSP PTWS Kashmir; Jameel Ahmad, JKPS (2001), Principal STC Sheeri, shall hold the charge of the post of Commandant IR-13, in addition to his own duties.
Mohd. Rafi Giri, JKPS (2008), Dy.CO 2nd Border Bn., has been transferred and posted as SO to Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF, J&K; Sunil Kumar Kesar, JKPS (2011), Addl. SP (Ops) Doda, as Dy.CO IR-15; Zahid Aziz Samoon, JKPS (2011), DySP (Ops) Pulwama as DyCO IR-17; and Devinder Singh Bandral, JKPS (2012), Dy.CO IR-1, has been transferred and posted as Addl. SP (Ops) Doda.
