JAMMU: Raising the demand for a Hindu Chief Minister from Jammu region, Sunil Dimple, President Jammu West Assembly Movement, said, “There is nothing wrong if a Hindu becomes the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir State.”
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, Dimple asked all parties to release election manifesto and apprise the people about their vision, programmes and policies for the development of J and K State especially for the Jammu region which has been badly discriminated in the last 67 years. All the parties viz National Conference, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Congress have exploited the people of the State and diverted their attention by provoking baseless issues, alleged Sunil.
J and K State is facing multi-dimensional threats from across the border from Pakistan, China and even from inside also from separatist forces, he said and asked political parties to tell that what will be their policies against the terrorism, and LoC tension.
Criticising the statement of JKPCC President Saif-ud-Din Soz over AFSPA, Dimple questioned him what the Congress was doing when it was in power.
