POONCH: Organised by Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club, Summer Coaching camp got underway at Degree College Ground, here involving 50 young boys and girls. In this month-long camp, participants are drawn from different parts of the Union Territory (UT). The camp was declared open by Col. M P Singh, who was the chief guest. He appreciated the efforts of Mohd Tariq and his son Ramiz Tariq (FIVB qualified volleyball coach) in shaping the raw volleyball talent, especially in the border districts of Poonch and Rajouri. Among others present were Jhangir Hussain Mir (former MLA Poonch); Pardeep Khanna (social activist); Rajinder Singh (former chairman Municipal Council; Matinderpal Singh, Mushtaq Ahmed, Shabir Ahmed, Intazar Ali and Sidharth Bhatti.
