SAMBA: MV International School concluded the Summer Camp-“SAAHAS-2015” with colourful and blissful closing ceremony on Thursday.
The camp was organised with the vision of Chairman Hira Lal Abrol, under the supervision of Director Gourav Abrol.
It offered plethora of activities for the children to pursue their hobbies; develop psychomotor skills and boost their personality. Thrilling games like adventure cycling, adventure run, treasure hunt, acrobatic football, spartan’s challenge in addition to art, music, dance and activities of home science were organised.
The campers enjoyed and participated with full enthusiasm.
Guest lectures by prominent personalities of Jammu and Kashmir from various fields of art, sports and culture were also arranged where speakers shared their experiences with the campers and told them that nothing is impossible, only thing is to put an honest effort.
The Vice Chairperson, MVIS, Savita Abrol was the Chief Guest of the occasion and Director Prep, MVIS, Aakriti Abrol witnessed the program as Guest of Honour. The Principal of the School, K.L Dogra presented the Camp Report.
The parents witnessed the Art and Craft and Life Skills exhibition which displayed various art creations i.e sculptures, paper made elephants, dolls, painted T-shirts and Duppatas, the student’s work, made during the camp.
The cultural function started with the lighting of the lamp followed by adventure sports display, the music department presented its own version of Vandematram. The Dance Department presented dance numbers like Barbie doll, Bum Bum Bole, Bollywood-Punjabi fusion and contemporary act on HIV Aids.
The camp was a great success and the parents appreciated the efforts of the school.
The Chief Guest cherished the efforts and presentations of the campers and the staff. Director, Prep, presented the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
