JAMMU: Eighth summer academic camp organised by Harbans Bhalla Educational Trust (HBET) concluded here on Thursday.
During the concluding day, prize distribution and cultural programmes were organised.
The 18 days camp was attended by 46 girl students from rural areas of Jammu region including Chak, Rattian, Gajansoo, Birpur, Gurah Slathia, Bishnah, Ghou Manhasan, Surinsar, etc. The cultural programme was organised and coordinated by HBET team.
The programme started with a welcome speech by the Managing Trustee, Kunil Bhalla. Thereafter, students from Pink House enthralled the audience with a melodious Dogri song. This was followed by Dance performances of Red House and Blue House on Dogri songs.
At the end, Pink House was declared as the star performer in various activities including academic performance of the students.
Prominent citizens of Jammu who supported the Trust attended the event. They appealed the students to work hard and take full advantage of the support being provided by HBET to them for their bright future. The total number of children being supported by HBET has risen to around 560 in this academic year.
