JAMMU: Sumit Grover bagged the first place in senior men’s category in the Jammu Division Selection Chess competition which was organised by the All J&K Chess Association (AJKCA), here on Monday.
Second place in the same category went to Soham Kamotra while Sanyam Gupta remained third.
However, Soham secured first place in under-19 category. He was followed by Sanyam Gupta and Aryan at second and third place respectively.
Now, the winners of different age groups shall be joined by their counterparts from Kashmir for the upcoming Nationals.
Earlier, the competition was conducted by FIDE Arbiter, Anil Kotwal under FIDE Laws of chess under the supervision of Association President, Atul Kumar Gupta.
Association Vice President, Baldev Raj and Advisor, Dr. A.S Bhatia were also present.
