REASI: Sukha of Rajasthan clinched the 31st Salal Kesari Dangal title outplaying Nisar of Doda in the main bout that took place at Salal in district Reasi. Dangal was organised by Gran Morh Dangal Committee in collaboration with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
Winner Sukha presented with a cash prize of Rs 6,000 by chief guest, Tehsildar Reasi, Shesh Paul. Runners-up, Nisar given away Rs 5,000 prize by Sarpanch, Raj Kumar and President of the Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma. Manager HR NHPC Jugal Kishore Sharma and Naib Tehsildar Reasi Suram Singh were Guests of Honour.
In all, 70 bouts were decided in this day-long Dangal. In the second main bout, Farooq of Sarore defeated wrestler Sandeep of Delhi while third bout went to Zaker of Sarore after he beat Roshan Lal of J and K Police. Fourth bout won by Bobari of Sarore beating Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu and Murad Ali of Domana Akhara won the fifth bout outplaying Lalla of Delhi.
Prominent among others present were Munshi Ram Salaria, Murad Ali, Karam Din, Gandarb Singh, Maheshwer Singh and Ram Parkash. Members and technical officials who helped in conduct of this event included, Ashwani Kumar Abrol, Som Raj, Capt. Lehar Singh, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Som Raj Kesar, Panch Bakilu, Tilak Raj, Ashok Singh, Gulam Mustaba, Gulam Rasool, Kartar Nath, Sham Lal Baba, Mohd. Fareed, Vijay Singh (Biju), Kartar Singh and Nazir Ahmed.
