JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Jammu East Assembly segment, Rajesh Gupta said, “The Jammu region has been the worst victim of discrimination at the hands of the successive governments in the past. The nationalist forces of the State have always been neglected by the National Conference (NC), Congress and People Democratic Party (PDP) combinations”
The discrimination with the Jammu region in the field of education, employment, development and political empowerment has been the main reason for the backwardness of the region, he said adding that now the younger generation has woken up to change their future.
“I take this responsibility to change the fate and future of the youth of the region. My priority is on the transformation of the Jammu East constituency into a model and modern heritage constituency,” he said.
The historic rally of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created a wave in favour of BJP in the Jammu region, he said adding that it has further boosted the morale of the party leaders and activists for the grand finale of the election process on 20th December 2014.
A historic opportunity to change the destiny beckons the people of the Jammu region. Time has come for the people to redeem themselves of the slavery and the yoke of Kashmir centric politicians who remained in control for the last several decades, he mentioned.
Rajesh Gupta conducted door to door campaign programme in Jullaka Mohalla, Rajputana Mohalla, Kali Jani, Jain Mohalla, Kucha Mangotra, Rani Mandir, Ghas Mandi, Ramdasian Gali, Patel Chowk and Peer Mitha areas of Jammu East constituency.
Others prominent people who were present include Dilip Kumar Gupta, Rajesh Khajuria, Vijay Gupta, Varun Malhotra, Tarsem Jain and Inder Sharma.
