The Centre Government, UT administration and last but not the least the people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve praise and commendation for the successful conduct and conclusion of the medium G20 meeting in Jammu and Kashmir.
Now that the G20 meeting has successfully concluded in Jammu and Kashmir, it is a matter of satisfaction and pride as it will pave way for the conduct of more such and other meetings and conferences in the erstwhile troubled state which is now limping back to normalcy. The successful completion and conclusion of the G20 meeting will naturally pave way for the commencement ,conduct and conclusion of the crucial and extra -ordinary meetings in future in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. This is a feather in the cap of the LG administration that the G20 meeting has concluded most successfully amid the threats and warnings of the anti national elements.
The successful conclusion of the first G20 meeting in Jammu and Kashmir is a slap on the face of Pakistan and its militants on Jammu and Kashmir who wanted the derailment of the crucial G20 meeting but all those inimical elements were forced to lick the dust as the people of Kashmir made it clear that they are for peace, security, development and progress and so they gave their unflinching cooperation to the historical G20 meeting in Jammu and Kashmir and gave a big defeat to the forces of doom who were shown the way .The successful conclusion of the G20 meeting will show the way and pave the way for the crucial national and international meetings and conferences in future in Jammu and Kashmir .It seems that there are more such conferences and meetings in pipe line and it seems that these crucial meetings will also be successfully conducted for the benefit of the UT and its people.
Thus more such meetings and conferences will be held in Jammu and Kashmir in near future as the situation is fast improving in valley and the success of the G20 will show the way for further meetings in Jammu and Kashmir This is a matter of encouragement and pride that more such and crucial meetings will take place in near future in Jammu and Kashmir and this will herald the atmosphere of peace ,security ,tranquility .progress and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
After G20 summit in Jammu and Kashmir ,a national conference on legal services is going to be held towards the close of the month of May.
It is a matter of satisfaction and joy that 200 judges of the supreme court and high courts of different states of the country will hold a crucial meeting on legal services in Jammu and Kashmir and such a crucial conference of the Judges of the apex court of India and of the judges of high courts of the state will be a good omen for the UT’s peace ,security and progress and all eyes are now set on the commencement of the conference of Judges.
Highly sources in union Law ministry reported that the National legal Services Authority -NALSA in coordination with the supreme court of India and state high courts will hold a crucial conference on legal services for three days at SKICC Srinagar on June 29-30 and 1st July .
The decision to hold the conference of Judges of the supreme court and state high courts has been taken because the G20 international meeting has successfully concluded and this prompted the concerned authorities to hold the conferences of Judges in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar and this is not an ordinary development given the fact that no such meetings had taken place in the past except the crucial G20 international meeting.
It is no ordinary thing that 200 judges that is the chief justice of India ,all high court and UT’s chief justices will be the participants and invitees in the crucial conference .The conference is of much importance and there is much fervor and enthusiasm among the organizers of the conference.
It is learnt that the union minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will be among the top dignitaries speaking in the meeting /conference .
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India Justice D.Y.Chandrachud, the Attorney General of India and Solicitor General of India will be attending the crucial conference at picturesque banks of the world famous Dal Lake in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar and it reminds us of the successful conclusion of the international G20 meeting which was held from 23rd to 25th of May at the same world famous SKICC.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice D.Y. Chandrachud is the patron -in -chief of NALSA and son of the soil Justice Sanjay Krishan Kaul is its executive Chairman. Chief justice of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh high court Justice N.Kotishwar Singh is the Patron-in-chief of SLSA-State legal services Authority and Justice TashiRabstan is functioning as its functioning executive chairman. Justice Sindu Sharma is currently chairperson of SLSA.
The crucial and historical judges conference will be attended by the best legal luminaries of the country and they along with the judges of the supreme court and high courts of the states and UT’s will discuss and deliberate on the legal matters and legal services and will suggest ways and means to improve the legal services including the services provided to the litigants and the general public by NALSA and SLSA and so the proposed legal conference is very crucial and significant for the Jammu and Kashmir. Article 39-A of the constitution of India provides that the state shall secure that the operation of the legal system promotes justice on the basis of equal opportunity and shall in particular, provide free legal aid ,by suitable legislation ,or schemes or in any other way to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disability. To conclude it can be said that the successful conduct and conclusion of the international G20 summit in J&K’s Srinagar in fact paved the way for the conferences and meetings in future in the Jammu and Kashmir UT and the proposed legal conference of Judges of the apex court and state and UT high courts is the corollary of the G20 success. It is hoped that the proposed conferences of chief justice of India and chief justices of the state high courts will provide good suggestions as to how will the NALSA and SLAA reform and transform to meet the legal services to the people of the UT and it can be safely said that the judges conference is really epoch making.
