JAMMU: The protest by the PM Package and other migrant KP employees, who left Valley soon after stone pelting incidents at their transit camps following killing of dreaded terrorist Burhan Wani, under the banner of All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) has entered the day 19 here at Relief Commissioner’s Office on Wednesday.
The AMEAK representatives accusing both State and central governments of maintaining a criminal silence over the issue asked government to come clear on the issue.
Raising slogans against the state administration, hundreds of protesting employees said the state administration is not looking serious in resolving their issue since no one from the government side has initiated talks to address their issue.
They are demanding adjustment in Jammu till a comprehensive plan for return and rehabilitation for Kashmiri Pandits is framed.
Meanwhile, All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) today staged protest to show solidarity with the agitating Kashmiri Pandit migrant employees who have abandoned Kashmir Valley in the wake of recent violence after Burhan Wani’s killings.
Led by Ravinder Pandita, Head of APMCC Delhi – NCR, the activists assembled at Jantar Mantar and raised slogans against the J and K Government which has failed to provide security to the KP migrant employees working in various places of Kashmir Valley.
Pandita demanded that State and Central Government should talk to these employees and redress their grievances.
Former KSD President, Sunil Shakdhar said that the problem is grave in Kashmir right now and government should not remain a silent spectator.
Pradeep Pandita an APMCC activist said “I am a Kashmiri, not a tourist out here today. We cannot be forced to go back.”
Manish Zijoo of APMCC demanded immediate action by Union Home Ministry and State Government as well to address the demands and meet the aspirations of Kashmiri Hindus.
Others who joined the protest include Anoop Kaul, Kundan Kashmiri, Bharat Kachroo, Ravinder Nath Bhat, Kamal Kishore, Amit Raina and Ravi Regu.
