‘Strengthening communication network Govt’s thrust area’

RAJOURI: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli said that strengthening the road network across J and K is among the top priorities of the government.
Addressing an impressive public gathering after laying foundation stone of 80 metre span motorable bridge at Bindi in Kalakote, the minister said the government is committed for building a network of roads with better quality and connectivity, which would play a pivotal role in boosting the State’s economy.
“We are working with a missionary mode to connect every nook and corner of the State with a good quality road network so as to facilitate the people of the State with better transportation facility,” he said. “We want to create such a network of roads in the state whereby transportation of people as well as goods can be carried out without any obstacles,” he added.
The minister said that lack of road and bridges has remained a great obstacle for the development in the past and many people have to stop their education because of lack of road network. “Now we ensure that not even a single person gives up his education because of poor road network,” he said.
District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat Superintendent Engineer PWD Majeed Wani, Executive Engineer PWD Sadeeq Wani, Executive Engineer PHE Nissar Khan, Assistant Director Fisheries M.S Wani beside other district officers were accompanied the minister.
