Stone crusher owners discuss SRO 105

JAMMU: The Stone Crusher Owners Association (SCOA) urged upon members of the association to submit their views for further submission to the committee constituted by the Speaker.
In this regard, a meeting of its core group was held under its President Ch Vikram Randhawa where a threadbare discussion held on SRO-105. Randhawa said that during Governor’s Rule in Jammu and Kashmir SRO-105 was implemented on 31st March by the Geology and Mining Department imposing blanket ban on any sort of mining from anywhere bringing this vital construction industry to a standstill.
Later, the association has approached the High Court which ordered status-quo on the implementation of the controversial SRO.
Randhawa said that few of the legislators raised the issue of revocation of SRO-105 in the ensuing Assembly and the Speaker of Legislative Assembly ordered constitution of nine member committee which will submit its report before or on 15th July, 2016. He said that the SCOA will apprise of the pros and cons of this SRO.
He informed that in this regard, a general body meet of the association will take place on 10th June at Amar Singh Club wherein the association members will submit their respective views for further submission to the committee constituted by the Speaker.
Those present in the meeting include Prem Choudhary, Anil Gaind, Dev Choudhary, Sonam Deep Singh, K.K Bhakhri, Rajinder Chib and Madan Choudhary.
