JAMMU: State Tug of War teams on Monday left for participation in the 27th Senior National and 12th Senior Federation Cup National Championships to be held at St. Paul’s Higher Secondary School, Salem in Tamil Nadu from 26th to 30th December.
Earlier, the selected teams interacted with president of the J and K Tug of War Association, Hardeep Singh Anand at Green Field Ground, here. He also presented sports kits, sponsored by Anand Farms, to the participating players.
Also present were General Secretary, Ravinder Singh Sasan and Joint Secretary, Jodh Singh Ishar as also members of the Screening Committee of the State Sports Council.
The Teams: 27th Senior National: Sourav Chopra, Amandeep, Arun, Ishan, Rahul, Sachin, Amit, Aga Bhasit and Aga Tayeed. 12th Federation Cup: Gourav Dubey, Narinder, Sunil, Sourabh, Ajay, Parveen, Maneer, Touseef and Showkat. Ajay Kumar and Tarsem Singh are accompanying the teams as coaches.
