State Judo contingent to leave for Nationals today

JAMMU: A 29-member strong contingent of Judo, including 14 male and 12 female judokas shall leave for participation in the National Cadet and Junior Judo Championship to be held at Saifi, Itwah in Uttar Pradesh from 24th to 28th November.
The team was given send off by the Secretary J and K State Sports Council, Wahid Ur Rehman Para amidst interaction and good wishes. He also sports kits to the participants. Speaking to the judokas he promised to upgrade the facilities by way of new arena for the game at Indoor Complex. Prominent among those who were present were Joint Secretary of the Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Abdul Qayum (CSO), Rajan Sharma (Divisional Sports Officer), Ravi Singh, Satish Gupta, SP Singh, Balvinder Singh and Varinder Dogra.
Senior judo coaches of the State Sports Council, Suraj Bhan Singh and Ritika Slathia are accompanying the contingent as coaches while Manish Chatwal is team manager. The TEAM: BOYS: Shubam Sharma, Mridul Kerni, Vishabjeet Singh, Ritish Thakur, Hamid Magray, Sajan Sharma, Pramveer Singh, Virbhadra Singh, Haris Amin Bhat, Karandeep Singh, Abhishek Choudhary, Farat Gulzar, Dheeraj Singh and Sourav Kumar. GIRLS: Komal Magotra, Vanshika Manhas, Bhumika Mahajan, Vaishali Choudhary, Nandni Sharma, Suhasi Kiran, Shriya Gupta, Khyaati Gupta, Yashika Jamwal, Sakshi Bhan, Sanjana Manhas and Mahvish Latif.
