JAMMU: Two young and promising cueists from Jammu and Kashmir have made it to the top 15 national ranking in the billiards and snooker game during the National Billiards and Snooker Championships held at PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Pune in Mahrasthra.
As per the details revealed here by a senior player of the game, Sohail Khalid, these upcoming players are Ansh Chopra and Vaasu Gupta.
While Ansh has been ranked 10 in Sub-Junior Billiards and 16 rank in Sub-Junior Snooker, Vaasu, who also played in the same age group, has secured 12th rank.
The ranking system has been introduced by the BSFI (Billiards and Snooker Federation of India) in the just concluded Nationals.
Meanwhile, J and K Billiards and Snooker Association congratulated both these young cueists for their performance at the Nationals thereby earning a name for the State.
