JAMMU: State contingent comprising 61 student players in four disciplines of badminton, handball, fencing and rifle shooting in under-14 and under-19 categories on Saturday left for 60th National School Games to be held at Pune in Maharashtra from 6th to 9th May.
The contingent was flagged off by Deputy Director, Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Rishi Kumar from Youth Hostel, Nagrota, near here on Saturday.
The team is accompanied by senior Physical Education Teacher (PET), Rattan Lal. The School Games are organised by the National School Games Federation of India (SGFI).
Among others present were district officer, Sukh Dev Raj Sharma, Harvinder Kour (PEM) and BK Tickoo (PEM).
