State, Central Govts responsible for present situation in Kashmir: DSS

JAMMU: Expressing concern over the serious law and order situation in Kashmir which has affected the whole State particularly Shree Amarnath Yatra, Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) Executive Committee held Central and the State Governments responsible for the present situation.
Talking to media persons here on Thursday, DSS President Gulchain Singh Charak expressed concern over the requent disruptions of the functioning of the government because of Bandhs called by the separatists particularly when the secretariat functions from Srinagar, as a result, this not only makes the Jammu employees insecure and vulnerable to attacks by the anti-national elements but also makes Govt. and secretariat inaccessible to the people of Jammu. He demanded immediate withdrawal of Jammu employees and start of functioning of secretariat at Jammu, so that people do not have to face any problem for their cases of secretariat level. He also demanded immediate restoration of Internet and other communication services which have been discontinued and the people of Jammu province have been put to a great financial loss.
Condemning Pakistan for fomenting trouble in Kashmir which has created problems not only for the locals but whole of State, Charak demanded that Central Government should strongly warn Pakistan not to interfere in the affairs of J and K State. He also appealed to the Central and State Governments to take immediate effective measures to normalise the situation and also take the people of Jammu into confidence for dealing with the situation.
“We also express sympathies for the security forces and innocent-civilians who lost their lives in the turmoil,” Charak said.
He appealed to people not to pay heed to the rumours and maintain peace and communal harmony in Jammu region and to fight unitedly against the nefarious designs of forces working against the interests of the State and the nation.
He also appealed to civil society of Kashmir to ensure security and safety of people of Jammu, tourists and the Yatris in Kashmir.
