SRINAGAR: Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Baseball Association, the 11th State Basetball Championship commenced on Tuesday at Islamia College of Science and Commerce Ground, Hawal, here.
During the five-day long event, the competition shall be held in all age groups of both boys and girls, a handout issued here today.
Around 40 teams from local clubs and educational institutes as also those affiliated district units shall compete for the top honours, claimed the handout.
It will be out this competition that the association shall raise the state team for the upcoming 31th Senior National Baseball Championship.
The event is sponsored by the J and K State Sports Council.
