JAMMU: Organised by the J and K Badminton Association, the 41st J and K State Badminton Championship shall take place at J and K Police Badminton Hall, Police Lines, here from 13th January.
“The qualifying rounds shall be conducted on 13th January, followed by the main draw matches starting next day,” General Secretary of the Association, Dr O.D Sharma said.
The competition shall formally be inaugurated on 14th January and shall conclude on 17th January with the holding of valedictory function at 4:00 PM at the same venue.
Around 150 shuttlers in both boys and girls sections shall compete in different age categories, a handout issued here on Monday informed.
Meanwhile, it has been informed by the association that the teams shall be selected on the basis of performance in this championship for the upcoming Senior National Championship to be held at Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh.
